Press Release FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ETRANSLATE BECOMES CONVEY SOFTWARE, ANNOUNCES NEW PRODUCT MANAGEMENT VP New name, addition to management team finalizes transformation at leading globalization solutions provider San Francisco, CA (February 20, 2002) - In support of the Convey Localization Suite launch, eTranslate today announced that it would now be known as Convey Software. A veteran localization services provider, eTranslate has been helping companies meet their globalization goals since 1993. The company spent a year converting its offerings from point products to modular, integrated solutions. The new name reflects the company's commitment to deliver scalable, industrial localization software for use across the enterprise. "Convey Software has localization experts and proven technology for business-critical globalization initiatives," said Janet Heppner, President and CEO, Convey Software. "Our new name is a signal to customers that Convey Software delivers the easy-to-use products and practical consulting services they expect from an enterprise partner." In support of this transformation, the company has strengthened its management team with seasoned professionals from Fortune 500 and successful start-up corporations. The latest addition is Chad Balch, who joins Convey Software as vice president of Product Management. Balch will be responsible for strategic direction of the product suite. Balch recently served as Vice President of Product Development for AllAdvantage.com, where he managed a software development team through an infrastructure development effort that delivered solutions to corporate partners and a multi-million-member global user community. As an early employee and senior manager at Rasna Corporation, Mr. Balch oversaw software development through Rasna's acquisition by Parametric Technology Corporation. As an entrepreneurial consultant with clients in computer-aided engineering software, collaborative software, and Internet technology, he has helped companies to improve development processes, bridge the gap between software concept and commercially viable solutions, and effectively communicate with engineering teams. Mr. Balch holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Sciences from Stanford University, a Master of Science from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Harvard University.
